Un anno di quasi nulla e la CBS si risveglia a primavera proponendo ad Alex un film. Ma non è un film qualunque, è uno di quelle commedie romantiche che potrebbero fare il picco nelle sale di tutto il mondo, dovuto un po' a quel bauletto di fortuna che si porta dietro Jennifer Lopez, diciamo.
"The Back-Up Plan" è il titolo del film in cui Alex sta per artigliare il ruolo maschile principale, un ruolo che, per molte fan (americane e non Dove e quando? Se tutto va come dovrebbe andare... Los Angeles, a partire dall'11 maggio prossimo.

Alex O'Loughlin, who starred in the cult vampire TV show "Moonlight," is in negotiations to nab the romantic male lead role opposite Jennifer Lopez in CBS Films' "The Back-Up Plan."
Written by Kate Angelo, the rom-com centers on a single woman (Lopez) who turns to artificial insemination to answer her ticking clock, only to see her backup plan turned on its side when the man of her dreams shows up on the same day that her pregnancy test results come back positive. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch are producing through their Escape Artists banner. Alan Poul is directing. Shooting is scheduled to begin May 11 in Los Angeles, making it the second CBS Films to go into production (after the untitled Crowley project, a medical drama starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser). The Australian actor, repped by ICM and Andy Freeman, appeared in "August Rush" and next toplines with Kate Beckinsale the comic book adaptation "Whiteout," produced by Joel Silver and being released by Warners this year. O'Loughlin, who played immortal detective Mick St. John on "Moonlight," recently booked a starring role in the CBS television pilot "Three Rivers."

'Moonlight' Star Cast in New Jennifer Lopez ProjectET breaks the news that "Moonlight" actor Alex O'Loughlin has been cast to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in CBS Films' feature 'The Back-Up Plan.' The romantic comedy features Lopez as Zoe -- a woman who embarks on a journey to motherhood using artificial insemination, only to meet a possible Mr. Right named Stan (O'Loughlin) on the day of her insemination. The couple begins dating, with Zoe confusing their early relationship by hiding her pregnancy. After she reveals her secret, Stan unexpectedly sticks by her side. But as the birth approaches, the pressures of their new relationship and her impending motherhood could split them apart. 'The Back-Up Plan,' is the first feature from CBS Films and will be directed by "Six Feet Under"'s Alan Poul. The movie is set to begin filming in Los Angeles in May and will premiere in theaters in January 2010. You can also catch O'Loughlin in upcoming films 'Whiteout' and 'August Rush.'

La commedia romantica che coinvolge la Lopez nel ruolo di Zoe - una donna che s'imbarca in un viaggio per la maternità usando l'inseminazione artificiale, per poi incontrare un possibile Mr.Quello Giusto di nome Stan (O'Loughlin) il giorno della sua inseminazione.
